Supporting The Augusta Savage Museum and Mentoring Center
Located at 1107 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., The Augusta Savage Museum and Mentoring Center is the heart of our efforts. Here, we offer a range of classes in fine and performing arts and provide tutoring in reading and math. Our center is not just a place for education; it’s a hub for inspiration and community building.
Celebrating Black History Month
Every February, we organize a series of events to commemorate Black History Month. Through art, performances, and educational activities, we aim to honor the rich cultural heritage of our community and beyond.
Augusta Savage Community Clothes Closet
“At the mud pie age, I began to make things instead of mud pies.” – Augusta Savage
As part of our commitment to enhancing the quality of life for underserved residents, we operate the Augusta Savage Community Clothes Closet. Located in Charles E. Bennett Elementary School, this initiative provides new clothing, footwear, and personal items to students at risk of failing or those living close to or at poverty levels.
